Tonies is seeking a Social Media Manager – Tonies US & Canada to help lead, manage and grow the social media impact for tonies US, while growing the channel for tonies Canada. This role works closely with all aspects of the business to manage Social Channels (Instagram, Meta, Threads, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, Amazon Posts, and more). The focus is on a creative and data-driven approach to added reach, engagement, and conversion through planning, content, community, and channel innovation. This position reports to the Director of Marketing – US Tonies USA. Given the international aspects, East Coast hours are expected.

Key Responsibilities:Social Channel Management & Execution: Manage the social strategy across all platforms, adapting to algorithm shifts and ensuring consistent global alignment. Manage daily activation calendars across marketing moments - including Seasonal campaigns, Promotional sales periods, new Product launches, and key Partner beats with IP and other brand partners.

Content & Community: Oversee content creation across all sources with Internal Creative, Agency, and Community/Influencers — ensuring accuracy, platform fit, and brand consistency. Collaborate across departments to support campaigns with social storytelling and tonies community programs.

Performance & Reporting: Growth will come from data-driven learning. This role owns social KPIs—growth, engagement, conversion—and is continuously optimizing through data and insights. Manage budgets and publishing calendar across content creation, boosting, and extending ideas with fans and partners.

Tech & Tools: Manage social tools, workflows, SEO/UTM tracking, and legal documentation. Ensure seamless operations across platforms and emerging technologies.

Creative Development: Create and guide copy and visual production for all posts, applying tonies brand voice and platform best practices. Partner closely with Licensing and Product Marketing for co-branded content plans.

Commerce Integration: Partner with Ecomm team to align social commerce strategies (IG Shop, TikTok Shop, Amazon Live, etc.) and improve the customer journey across channels.

Leadership: Manage and mentor the Social Media Coordinator. Highlight team wins and keep Tonies informed on key moments and evolving social trends.

Skills & Tools:

Adobe Creative Suite, Social SEO, AI tools, KPI tracking, trend spotting, cross-functional collaboration, copywriting, ambassador/influencer programs, platform-specific expertise, and content production.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience managing social media accounts for consumer brands (kids/family market is a plus!)
  • Strong portfolio showcasing creative and high-performing content
  • Deep understanding of each platform’s strengths, formats, and best practices
  • Experience with short-form video, influencer partnerships, and community engagement
  • Excellent copywriting and visual storytelling skills
  • Proficiency with tools like Later, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Meta Business Suite, or similar
  • Comfortable analyzing KPIs and translating insights into action
  • Highly organized, collaborative, and comfortable in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment
  • A team player with excellent interpersonal skills who enjoys working collaboratively across functions.
  • A high level of adaptability and comfort in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
