We’re looking for a dynamic and driven Senior Marketing Manager to accelerate our growth in Australia and New Zealand, markets where Pearson Higher Education already has a strong presence and exciting potential for further expansion. In this role, you’ll lead the development and execution of B2B and D2C marketing strategies aimed at increasing brand awareness, customer engagement, and driving sales growth. You will put the customer at the heart of everything we do. This role is ideal for a motivated marketing professional who thrives on creating impactful campaigns from the ground up. You’ll oversee multi-channel campaigns, managing both internal teams and external agencies to deliver outstanding results. By optimizing regional marketing budgets, measuring campaign performance, and making data-driven decisions, you’ll continuously enhance impact and ROI. You’ll also play a key role in transforming our eCommerce efforts, particularly focusing on optimizing our online presence in the region. As the main regional marketing contact, you’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align marketing strategies with business objectives. Staying ahead of market trends and competitor insights will give you an edge in adapting strategies to achieve long-term success. Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Marketing Leadership: Develop and execute B2B and D2C marketing strategies to boost brand awareness, customer engagement, and sales growth across Australia and New Zealand, aligning with customer, brand, and commercial goals.
  • Integrated Campaigns: Lead multi-channel campaigns from strategy through to execution, managing both internal teams and external agencies to deliver maximum impact.
  • Budget & Performance Optimization: Oversee and optimize regional marketing budgets, ensuring efficient spending to maximize ROI. Use a data-driven approach to measure and refine campaigns to meet performance targets.
  • eCommerce & Website Transformation: Lead regional eCommerce initiatives, including enhancing the website for Australia and New Zealand. Leverage data insights, SEO, PPC, and CRO strategies to improve online performance and drive conversions.
  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing marketing team, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented culture.
  • Innovative Marketing: Drive growth through creative and test-and-learn tactics, experimenting with new initiatives while championing proven channels.
  • Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the key regional marketing contact, collaborating with sales, product, and operations teams to align marketing efforts with company objectives.
  • Market Insights & Trends: Stay ahead of industry trends and regional insights, adapting strategies to maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Performance Reporting: Present actionable insights and performance reports to senior leadership, using data to shape future strategies.

  • Proven experience in B2B and D2C marketing, with a history of leading successful multi-channel campaigns that drive growth and brand awareness.
  • Strong in both marketing strategy and execution, with a digital-first mindset and expertise in omnichannel integration.
  • Deep understanding of media strategies and managing marketing spend across performance-driven channels.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills across internal teams, stakeholders, and external agencies.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Creative and persuasive copywriting skills that enhance marketing campaigns.
