Senior Principal Product Manager – Broadcast Workflows

Job Description As a Senior Principal Product Manager within OCI’s Media Services business, you will drive the transformation of traditional broadcast workflows into cloud-native solutions on OCI. This role requires deep expertise in live broadcast contribution, production, and B2B distribution technologies, combined with a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with OCI engineering teams to identify and address infrastructure gaps, ensuring that OCI can support the unique demands of real-time broadcast workflows. You will define the product roadmap for OCI’s broadcast capabilities, working directly with broadcasters, media companies, and technology partners to understand their requirements. Your work will play a pivotal role in enabling the migration of live and linear broadcast workflows—from on-premises hardware-based solutions to scalable, cloud-native architectures. Career Level - IC5 Responsibilities Responsibilities:

• Define Product Strategy: Develop a product vision and roadmap for live broadcast contribution, production, and distribution/playout workflows in the cloud.
• Bridge Broadcast & Cloud: Identify critical gaps in OCI’s cloud infrastructure for broadcast applications and collaborate with OCI engineering teams to address them.
• Customer & Industry Engagement: Work closely with broadcasters, media companies, and service providers to understand their technical and business needs, ensuring OCI solutions meet industry demands.
• Technical Leadership: Provide thought leadership on cloud-based broadcast workflows, including contribution, live production, signal processing, and cloud-based playout.
• Competitive Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to analyze trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies in live and linear broadcast.
• Product Development Lifecycle: Own the end-to-end product lifecycle, from requirements gathering and functional specifications to working with engineering on execution.
• Collaboration Across OCI: Partner with internal teams, including networking, compute, storage, and media services, to deliver integrated solutions tailored for broadcast workloads.
• Go-to-Market Enablement: Work with sales, partner, and industry demand teams to drive awareness and adoption of OCI’s broadcast solutions.
• Performance Optimization: Define key success metrics and continuously analyze product performance to drive improvements.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in product management, solutions architecture, or engineering roles in the broadcast industry.
• Deep domain expertise in live broadcast workflows, including signal contribution, live production, and cloud playout.
• Strong technical understanding of IP-based broadcast technologies (SMPTE 2110, NDI, SRT, RIST, Zixi, etc.) and cloud-based media services.
• Experience with real-time video processing, encoding/transcoding, and cloud networking architectures.
• Prior experience working with cloud service providers on media workflows or infrastructure solutions.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to engineering teams and business value to customers.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA is a plus.
