Sanico Software: Business Operations (Administration) Team Member
Job Description
Posted on: March 26, 2025
Sanico Software is looking for a Business Operations (Administration) Team Member
Sanico Software is hiring a Business Operations (Administration) Team Member. This is a rare opportunity to work within the business operations and administrative side of our remote Software Engineering team.
We are looking for a go-getter, not a slacker. A solutions person, not a giver-upper. A team player, not a lone wolf. Someone with enthusiasm to grow long-term with our team, not a person that is easily discouraged.
You will join as a casual team member and work 2 to 3 days (15-22.5 hours) per week. The role pays $35 per hour. You will require an ABN and be hired as a contractor. Further details will be given through the interview process.
Tasks
A majority of companies usually hire someone specific for each type of role within their Business Operations Team. This ranges from admin work, client relations, bookkeeping, marketing, human resources, and more. At Sanico Software it is one role, hence we are looking for a generalist, a person not hesitant to be across a variety of tasks.
The Business Operations Team at Sanico Software helps perform the day-to-day inner workings of our software company. They keep our software production team churning as they take on tasks such as, speaking with potential clients, helping to create important processes, updating engineering schedules, invoicing on critical contracts, coordinating marketing tasks, organising service contracts, and the list goes on.
We expect all team members to have excellent written communication skills in English because most of our communication is conducted through our project management system called Basecamp.
You will help shape the inner workings of the Business Operations Team at Sanico Software alongside the owners of the business, Sav and Dom Tripodi. Once you are up to speed and comfortable in the role, you will work with a high amount of autonomy. You will take the lead, make executive decisions, and take responsibility on critical tasks.
Below are some examples of recent tasks completed by our Operations Team:
- Created a successful bus station ad campaign that brought in tens of thousands of dollars worth of software contracts to Sanico Software and boosted local awareness of our brand.
- Organised a successful photoshoot of the Sanico Software team for our website and other marketing material.
- Assisted in the creation of a new services agreement with Sanico’s legal team for the purposes of a large software contract with an established Australian business.
- Hired a new lead of ‘Content Creation’ to create short format videos on our social media accounts.
- Onboarded and interviewed interns from University to join our engineering team.
Requirements
Remote Only Company
At Sanico Software our entire team works remotely. For this current position you will work remotely and are required to be within the Australian time zones AWST, ACST, or AEST. While all team members are currently based in Australia, we have clients globally. Software is global in nature and so is our company.
Benefits
About Sanico Software
Founded by Sav and Dom Tripodi in Adelaide, Australia, we have been producing software for over 6 years. We started with a humble premise: to build the best software for companies and individuals across the globe. We build websites, web applications, software apps, software integrations, and provide a range of other professional services such as software consulting and auditing. We focus on a high quality of service in all of our dealings, hence why we found success very early on in our business.
We are not your typical company that conducts an unnecessary amount of meetings per week, expects you to work late nights and weekends, or bogs you down with ridiculous processes. We communicate through our project management system, Basecamp, and rely heavily on written communication. There will be no manager breathing down your neck and calling you every hour to “check in”. We believe in hiring managers of one, people who show initiative, self-police, and flourish naturally in their own role.
