The Scientific Content & Communications Manager is responsible for crafting and executing a compelling content and communications strategy at ChemPartner. This individual must have a deep and broad understanding of scientific concepts, methodologies, and industry trends, particularly in the biomedical or CRO space. They will ensure scientific and technical accuracy while optimizing messaging for engagement across multiple channels, including digital, PR, webinars, and event communications.
Key ResponsibilitiesScientific Expertise & Content Strategy
- Serve as the scientific lead for all marketing content, ensuring depth, accuracy, and credibility in all messaging.
- Develop and execute an annual marketing content plan, covering scientific articles, whitepapers, technical case studies, and PR strategies.
- Partner with internal subject matter experts (SMEs), researchers, and business leaders to craft compelling, research-backed narratives.
- Translate complex scientific concepts into digestible and engaging content that supports brand positioning.
- Act as an internal advisor on scientific matters, providing guidance on language, accuracy, and market positioning.
Customer Experience & Market Positioning
- Drive GTM messaging, positioning, and persona development to ensure content is customer-centric and aligned with buyer expectations.
- Partner with internal teams to develop a robust SEO strategy, ensuring content is optimized for both search engines and user engagement.
- Support conversion rate optimization (CRO) efforts by refining messaging and content structures that improve engagement and audience retention.
Public Relations & Media Outreach
- Oversee PR & media relations, managing press releases, media outreach, and interviews to elevate brand visibility.
- Build and nurture relationships with journalists, analysts, and key industry influencers to secure media coverage.
- Develop and maintain a proactive media engagement strategy to position the company as a thought leader in biomedical research.
Advertising & Brand Awareness
- Develop content strategies for paid media campaigns, in collaboration with digital and creative teams.
- Optimize content distribution for maximum reach and engagement.
Content Performance & Optimization
- Establish metrics and KPIs to measure content performance, including lead generation, engagement, and brand awareness.
- Use data insights to refine content strategies, ensuring continuous improvement and ROI-driven decision-making.
- Implement best practices for content governance to ensure consistency, compliance, and quality across all channels.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Life Sciences, Biomedical Research, or a related field OR a Master’s degree with 5+ years of experience in scientific communications, marketing, or PR. CRO experience is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience developing content for a scientific audience, including blogs, case studies, PR, or marketing collateral.
- Proven ability to translate complex scientific data into engaging, accessible content.
- Experience leading content strategy across digital, print, and media channels.
- Strong knowledge of SEO, content analytics, and marketing automation platforms.
- Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Ability to travel occasionally for customer visits, events, or media engagements.
