Job Overview:
We’re on the lookout for a creative and organised Social Media Assistant & Copywriter to join our growing team at UK Construction Marketing. If you have a passion for crafting engaging copy, keeping up with the latest social media trends, and creating visually appealing content, this is the perfect role for you.
Your primary responsibility will be managing the social media accounts for all of our clients. You’ll also produce a variety of copy for social media, blogs, websites, newsletters, and more. This role requires someone who’s both strategic and hands-on, loves storytelling, and knows how to make an impact with words and visuals.
Key Responsibilities:Social Media Management:
- Create, schedule, and manage social media content across multiple platforms using SEMrush.
- Design graphics and visuals in Canva to complement your copy.
- Research industry trends and news to create timely, relevant content.
- Develop social media strategies to increase engagement and brand visibility for our clients.
Copywriting & Content Creation:
- Write compelling copy for social posts, blogs, website updates, newsletters, and more.
- Ensure all content aligns with the tone of voice and branding for each client.
- Generate ideas for engaging, on-trend content, including innovative ways to present key messages.
Organisation & Coordination:
- Manage social media calendars for all clients, ensuring consistency and regular updates.
- Gather information to use for content creation.
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to deliver campaigns and creative projects.
About You:
- A love for copywriting and creating stories that resonate with people.
- Passion for social media and staying on top of platform trends and innovations.
- Creative flair with experience designing visuals in tools like Canva.
- Highly organised with excellent time management skills.
- A proactive mindset with the initiative to research and suggest content ideas.
- Strong understanding of social platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a social media, marketing, or copywriting role.
- Proven ability to write creative and engaging copy across different formats.
- Familiarity with scheduling tools such as SEMrush.
- Proficiency in using Canva to design creative to use with socials
Preferred but not essential:
- Exposure to or interest in the construction sector.
- Basic knowledge of WordPress
- Adobe Creative Suite.
Salary & Perks:
- £22,000–£25,000 per year, depending on experience.
- 28 days holiday (including bank holidays), plus your birthday off.
