Social Media & Communications Volunteer (Remote)

Key Responsibilities:

*  Develop and manage a social media content calendar aligned with foundation activities, awareness days, and fundraising campaigns.

*  Create engaging and visually appealing content (graphics, short videos, written posts) for platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and potentially others, using tools like Canva.

*  Draft engaging blog posts and website updates highlighting foundation news, success stories, partner spotlights, and relevant conservation issues.

*  Schedule and publish content consistently across our social media channels.

*  Monitor social media channels, respond to comments and messages in a timely and appropriate manner, and foster community interaction.

*  Assist in drafting and distributing email newsletters to our subscriber list.

*  Track key performance metrics (engagement rate, reach, follower growth, website traffic from social) and provide simple reports.

*  Collaborate with other volunteers (e.g., fundraising, partnerships) to support campaigns and ensure consistent messaging.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

*  Proven experience managing social media accounts for an organization or brand (professional or volunteer).

*  Strong content creation skills, particularly with visual tools like Canva. Basic video editing skills are a plus.

*  Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to adapt tone for different platforms.

*  Familiarity with major social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook essential) and their best practices.

*  Organized, reliable, and able to manage tasks independently.

*  Passionate about animal welfare and conservation.

*  Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp) is desirable but not essential.

*  Creative thinker with ideas for engaging online audiences.
