Welcome to Sage PR & Marketing, we're a boutique marketing communications consultancy based on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, passionate about championing small businesses and non-profits with a mission for positive impact. We’re seeking a competent and savvy Social Media & Content Manager to join our small remote team.
We're looking for someone who lives and breathes social media, is a competent writer, who can distill complex information into engaging social content, and who loves getting down into the nitty gritty of social accounts to engage and optimise results.
You will be required to hit the ground running with several client accounts waiting for you to take the reins!

Role Description
This is an Independent Contractor remote role for an immediate start. You'll need to be a self-starter and autonomous worker. The Social Media & Content Manager will be responsible for developing effective content strategies for multiple client accounts including writing, content creation, and execution across social, email newsletters, and blog articles.
Typical Tasks
- Reviewing and developing content strategy to achieve client goals
- Creating monthly content calendars that support current platform algorithms and marketing objectives
- Staying on top of current social media trends and incorporating into your content
- Liaising with clients for approvals and coordinating content requirements
- Writing social media captions, optimised for native platform communication and engagement
- Creating eye-catching visual content and reels in Canva, in alignment with brand guidelines
- Optimising social media accounts for search visibility and engagement.
- Using effective communication to engage with audiences and communities
- Managing accounts across Facebook, Instagram, Linked In, YouTube, Linktree etc
- Writing and building engaging monthly newsletter communications
- Research and write SEO optimised blog articles to drive website traffic
- META paid ads experience a bonus but not essential.
- Monthly reporting and analysing data insights to inform strategies and provide recommendations
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years' Social Media Management experience in a similar role
- Degree qualified in Marketing, Communications or related field
- Excellent English writing and communication skills
- Proficient in management of Facebook, Instagram, Linked In
- Proficient in the use of Canva and video editing apps for content creation
- Experienced in the use of email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp, Mailerlite or similar
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical and creative thinking skills
- Knowledge of digital marketing trends and best practices

This is an Independent Contractor role requiring ABN for approx 15hrs per week at an hourly rate of $30-40ph dependent on experience.
