Description:

Betches Media is looking for a creative Freelance Content Manager to manage our health and wellness Instagram account, Everything’s Fine. This isn’t your typical “drink more water and meditate” vibe — we’re looking for someone who can talk about mental and physical health that’s real, relatable, and hilarious enough to make people double-tap through their doomscrolling.

This person should have a deep understanding of how younger audiences interact and consume health and wellness content on social media — whether it’s memes about anxiety, TikToks about therapy, or videos about the relatable struggle of signing up for a spin class just because the playlist slapped — and can translate those insights into growing and maintaining a loyal audience for the Betches brand.

The ideal candidate is a creative and out-of-the-box thinker who is excited to bring new and engaging ideas to the table. The individual should be very passionate about Betches, have a great sense of humor, and both strong copy and social media design skills. They will report into the VP of Editorial and work closely with our social team members.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Manage daily posting strategy on Betches’ Instagram account, Everything’s Fine, bringing a new Gen-Z perspective to the brand
• Ideate original content ideas including video, TikTok, memes, and other formats
• Keep on top of new social media trends to test out new content formats and series
• Coordinate with podcast, video, and marketing teams on larger tentpoles, brand promotions, and events
• Collaborate closely on content creation with the larger social team

Qualifications:

• 1 year experience in content creation & social media (including internship experience)
• Familiarity and strong enthusiasm for the Betches brand and health and wellness and lifestyle content from the Gen Z perspective
• Understanding of and ability to write in brand voice and tone, as well as excellent written and communication skills
• Proficiency in Canva
• Fast-learner who can quickly spot trends and adapt to ever-changing social landscape
• Quick, creative thinker and idea contributor willing to take initiative and hit the ground running
• Strong eagerness to learn and grow from within the organization
• Experience with on-camera videos and editing

Compensation

The hourly rate for this role is $25. This role will require a 12 hours per week commitment.
