After Jon Steinlauf’s surprising exit announcement late last year, Warner Bros. Discovery has appointed Ryan Gould and Bobby Voltaggio as its new presidents of U.S. advertising sales, effective immediately. They will oversee the company’s full portfolio for networks and streaming, including sports, news, client partnerships, digital sales, research, marketing, and brand solutions.

Ryan Gould will serve as president of U.S. ad sales and go-to-market strategies, while Bobby Voltaggio will take on the role of president of U.S. ad sales and platform monetization. Both leaders will be based at WBD’s ad sales headquarters at Hudson Yards, New York.

They will report to Bruce Campbell, WBD’s chief revenue and strategy officer, who expressed confidence in their leadership abilities amid a rapidly evolving advertising market. Campbell stated, "Ryan and Bobby have been instrumental leaders in driving our business since the merger, and are innovative, decisive, and team-oriented in all that they do."

Gould, who joined WBD in 2012 and was most recently head of streaming and digital sales, and Voltaggio, who joined in 2005 and was head of revenue and operations, are expected to reshape WBD's overall sales strategy.

Both will present at WBD’s 2025 upfront event at The Theater at Madison Square Garden on May 14.

Upfront Calendar 2025

Steinlauf, who announced his departure after over three decades with the company, played a significant role in establishing the Max ad-supported sales business, which has seen substantial growth. He stated, "This is the right time to begin a new chapter both personally and professionally," as he transitions from WBD.
