N Brown Group has appointed Dene Jones as the new CEO of Retail, succeeding Sarah Welsh, who confirmed her departure after five successful years. Jones will officially take on the role on February 1, overseeing the Jacamo and Simply Be brands while driving the evolution of distinct brand propositions and unique product offerings for customers across all retail brands.

In his new position, Jones will lead the product, trade, and marketing sectors, along with the data analytics and data visualization teams. N Brown emphasized that this role expansion will ensure clear accountability for commercial activities and performance, fostering strong alignment between retail and financial services.

Jones comes with extensive board-level experience in marketing and data, having most recently served as both CMO and data officer at Constellation Automotive Group, Europe's largest digital car marketplace. He has also held senior roles at The Very Group.

Joining the N Brown executive board, Jones will report to Steve Johnson, interim chair and group CEO. Johnson expressed enthusiasm about Jones's appointment, highlighting the expertise he brings to enhance accountability across the Group's commercial activities as they transition into an omnichannel etailer.
