Michelle Crossan-Matos Leaves Ulta Beauty
Michelle Crossan-Matos, the Chief Marketing Officer at Ulta Beauty, announced her departure from the company via a LinkedIn post on Wednesday. She took on the role in January 2023, after a significant career at Samsung Electronics America where she served as Senior Vice President for five years.
In her role at Ulta, Crossan-Matos was responsible for a wide array of functions including brand building, consumer insight, creative strategies, ecommerce, guest services, member loyalty, and more. Additionally, she oversaw UB Media, the company's retail media network.
Before joining Ulta, she held senior marketing positions at Samsung Europe, Vertu, and Procter & Gamble. Reflecting on her time at Ulta, she expressed pride in the marketing team's achievements, highlighting initiatives like the Joy Project, Joy Council, and Joy Hub online community. These efforts contributed to significant brand love, awareness, and social buzz.
Crossan-Matos concluded her message by expressing excitement about her future endeavors, stating, "I am excited to embark on my next chapter, and joy forward to a new path of possibilities, which I will share soon."
